How should I package my textbook rental for return shipment?
Return shipping for rentals is FREE! Simply print out the return label from textbooksolutions.com and tape it to your box or mailer and drop it off at the nearest UPS or designated shipping carrier facility.
You can print your UPS shipping label from our website by signing into your account and clicking the "My Account" link in the top right corner. Click on "Return Rentals" to find the rentals that have not been returned. Check the box next to all of the books you need to return and click "Return Selected Books". This will generate a UPS shipping label for you to print and attach to your package.
- You can use any type of snug fitting box or mailer, but make sure the books will not shift and get damaged during transport (using packing material for cushioning if necessary).
- If you shake the box or envelope mailer lightly, nothing should shift around inside.
- For extra caution, you can wrap your items in plastic (grocery bags will do) so in case it rains, your books won’t get damaged
- If you’re sending more than one book in a package, make sure the box you are send it in can handle the extra weight!
- Consider using a heavy duty box. You can usually find used (but not dirty) boxes at local grocery stores and typically they don’t mind giving them out for free.
- Make sure the package is securely sealed.
- Packing tape or duct tape is the way to go!
- If scotch tape, painters tape and masking tape are delicate enough to be used on a painting and peeled off with ease, it’ll do the same on a cardboard box.
- Ensure all previous labels are covered or marked out with a heavy marker (to prevent the shipper from accidentally scanning the wrong label).
